Travelling around the United Arab Emirates - 2015 guide to luxury

The United Arab Emirates is a prosperous nation always hungry for the next big thing.  With a population of just 9.2 million (only approximately 1 million more than London alone) there is much space to explore, and many of us do so.

When pondering UAE, your thoughts often gravitate towards Dubai, and it isn’t surprising. The futuristic skyscrapers boast of much investment, from tourism and business alike.  This city’s shopping is second to none, with vast malls full of high quality goods and designer clothes enticing shopping fanatics in from across the world. Beach resorts complete with five star luxury apartments and hotels drive much tourism with the added extra of fine cuisine. Are you a fan of the slopes? Not a problem with a number of indoor ski slopes, right in the heart of the desert.

Dubai seemingly has everything, we happen to agree, but there is even more to discover not only in the city, but across the United Arab Emirates as well. To travel around UAE, there is only one solution; private jet. How else can you keep up with the vibrant way of life as well as the luxurious lifestyle?

Locating your said jet isn’t as troublesome as it seems. They certainly aren’t just reserved for A Listers; you deserve the best as well. The easiest way is to find a reputable charter service like Chapman Freeborn who can do all the hard work for you. You really get the highest possible quality from the off when flying private from convenience to luxury, and with such a prestigious city like Dubai, your choice of transport more than suits your celebrity-style life.

Exploring the United Arab Emirates by private jet does not only elude a life of luxury, it is highly appropriate too. You can:

Book at short notice
To a number of locations
At any time; 24 hours a day, 7 days a week on 365 days of the year
Alter your plans mid-flight
Dine on fine cuisine in preparation for your trip
Transport important goods
And relax in a calm and comfy atmosphere

The perfect way to explore the UAE! But where exactly should you travel to?

Abu Dhabi

Approximately a one hour’s drive through the hot sandy roads is nothing in a private jet.

In comparison to the sophisticated Dubai, Abu Dhabi is the greener authentic location with a quaint atmosphere and a hub of cultural richness. The capital of UAE, if you’re an out-of-towner, Abu Dhabi is a must to visit with its rich oil industry propping up all aspects of life from tourism to business.

Slightly quieter than Dubai, Abu Dhabi is laid-back to say the least however the growth has been phenomenal. Museums a plenty, sightseeing city tours, desert camel rides and beautiful hotels to relax after a time well spent.

Al Gharbia desert

A desert is the perfect location for solitude. Whilst the vast dunes and searing heat may alienate, it can also be a calming and beautiful place. Take advantage of leaving the buzz of the capital and its sister Dubai for one day to explore the desert on camel, complete with authentic cuisine and plenty of suncream.

Sharjah

Sharjah doesn’t have the glamour of Dubai (none of the UAE does) however, it has a rich culture of souqs and brilliant museums. The Old Town is essential on your list of things to do but do remember Sharjah is much more conservative than your other options. Decency laws are tight; no alcohol is available and please do cover up respectively.

Ajman

Not far from the small town of Sharjah is the even smaller town of Ajman. The smallest of all seven emirates, Ajman has since much development work in recent years. The perfect place to sit back and relax, enjoy the authentic and delicious cuisine along the white sands it is famed for.

Umm Al Quwain

If you’re after a small peaceful location for a day, look no further. Umm Al Quwain has shied away from most of the tourism that has (delightfully) swamped the likes of Dubai and Abu Dhabi. The old town has limited hotels so make sure you book beforehand with a traditional historic background still seeping through the cracks to this day.

Saudi Arabia

Looking to stretch your legs even further? Flying from UAE to most locations in Saudi Arabia will take approximately 3 hours on your standard charter (possibly quicker and more convenient when going private. Please check with the charter for more details). It is extremely elusive to enter, making your trip that much more special.

The beautiful history so connected with religion, Saudi Arabia has to be the most inaccessible for tourism. A hidden gem from the prying eyes of the world, whilst you’re in Dubai, you’ve got to try and get yourself over there. Dubai is all about the finer things in life, as are the surrounding towns and cities. It makes sense to explore what the UAE has to offer.
