Canon Helping To Bring DP World Tour Championship To Life As Official Imaging Partner
Canon will once again play a pivotal part behind the scenes in helping to ensure the smooth running of the DP World Tour Championship, Dubai when the Race to Dubai’s season ending finale is held on the Earth course at Jumeirah Golf Estates from Thursday 16th to Sunday 19th November.
The season ending event will see Canon support the Media Centre, the Championship Office, the TV Production Office, the Rules Office and the Chief Marshal’s Office while the star studded top 60 players in the Race to Dubai go head to head on the Greg Norman-designed course. On-grounds activation will also be facilitated allowing families to enjoy the atmosphere of the DP World Tour Championship whilst their kids enjoy time learning with fun at the Canon Creative Park.
“Our partnership with the DP World Tour Championship is entrenched in community support and engagement, which is also reflected in our long-standing corporate philosophy of Kyosei – meaning living and working together for the common good. This year, beyond being the official printing partner for the tournament, we are participating on the ground through an imaginative activity with our arts and crafts portal Creative Park,” said Anurag Agrawal Managing Director - Canon Middle East.
“By collaborating on events like this, Canon will continue to capitalise on its strong position through ongoing innovations to enhance its existing products, solutions and services to better meet customer needs – especially delivering on the aspirations of future generations who look at imaging technologies as a core defining component of their generation.”
Based in Dubai, UAE, Canon has a long history in the Middle East. For over 40 years it was represented in the region through distributors and partners that helped Canon to secure a strong customer base and significant market share. The inception of CME brought Canon closer to its customers and adds value to its partners.
In the lead up to the DP World Tour Championship, Canon has also been running a series of “Where are we?” teaser posters across social media giving five lucky winners two hospitality tickets to the season-ending finale, whilst during the tournament there will be special themed Geofilters circling Snapchat inspiring visitors to capture and remember their stories at the event.
“We are once again delighted to have Canon on board for 2017, they truly are established as one of the key supporters of the golf in the region,” said Nick Tarratt, European Tour International Director, Dubai Office.
“Paper information is still key in this digital age and scores, facts and figures and daily weather reports are all a vital part of the tournament that is all produced on paper.
“Being such a key component to the tournament we can be assured once again that we are in safe hands with Canon who year after year run such an efficient back-of-house operation.”
