Basketball Academy, PSSA Gives Homegrown UAE Talent The Opportunity To Play In Las Vegas Showcase |

Prestige Star Sport Academy (PSSA) is setting the bar high for world-class basketball coaching in the region. For the first time ever in the UAE, the academy is giving young athletes a once in a lifetime opportunity to play on the courts of Las Vegas alongside leading basketball talent in the US. Passionate players have one last chance to slam dunk their way in to the PSSA team on the 22nd – 25th May at Dubai Sports World, where the academy will be scouting for the final team members. The chosen team will get to embark on an unforgettable three-week summer tour in Las Vegas in July which will see them practice and play basketball daily, against the best teams in the US, as part of the prestigious Amateur Athletic Union Tournament. The young athletes will also have the opportunity to rub shoulders with world-famous NBA stars and impress American scholarships scouts. Founder of PSSA, Dejan Kamenjasevic comments: “The UAE is brimming with unbelievable basketball talent and it is our pleasure to give the region an opportunity to present this to the big shots of basketball in Las Vegas. Our mission at PSSA is to encourage sporting dreams and aspirations and we are doing just that by taking a junior team to Las Vegas and giving them the opportunity to play against the best teams in the US.” Operating in over 30 locations throughout the UAE, PSSA offers high level coaching services and specialises in harnessing and nurturing sporting talent. The academy has specially designed practices for young athletes from the age of 2 to 15+ years old and partakes in leagues, international games and tournaments around the Middle East. PSSA is a unique association hosting a diverse and dedicated team of FIBA certified coaches, ex-professional players, basketball specialists and recreational enthusiasts alongside aspiring professionals. The academy’s mission is to raise awareness and instil a love and passion in the UAE and beyond, for the character building sport, basketball.
