Dubai Chamber Concludes Summer Training Programme For Emirati Students

The Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry recently hosted a ceremony at its headquarters which concluded its annual Summer Training Programme for Emirati students.

The two-week intensive programme, held at the Chamber’s premises, saw the participation of 25 students with the total number of participants exceeding 120 in recent years.

Dubai Chamber’s Summer Training Programme supports its strategic efforts to boost Emiratisation, while it’s also designed to help young Emirati talent build professional experience and develop important skills that are needed to operate in a real work environment.

Participants in this year’s programme included students from Zayed University, Higher Colleges of Technology, University of Sharjah, Khalifa University and the American University of Dubai. The students spent time in various departments of the Chamber, improved their knowledge and honed their skills in the areas of customer service, human resources, business ethics, information technology and entrepreneurship.

The Chamber launched its Summer Training Programme in 2013 under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to empower Emirati youth and prepare them for a fast-changing job market. The programme supports the Chamber’s Emiratisation strategy, which also includes its “Fursa: Together We Shape Your Future” programme.
