Abu Dhabi Welcomes 2008 Edition Of Major Ramadan & Eid Festival


1,000 Exhibitors To Showcase Consumer Goods From 11 Countries










The highly-anticipated annual Ramadan & Eid Festival has commenced at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre, welcoming over 1,000 exhibitors showcasing consumer goods from 11 countries. The show spans six halls and the Atrium, showcasing family-friendly consumer goods such as clothes, Arabic food and children’s toys, as well as traditional song and dance, to celebrate the importance of the holy month of Ramadan. The 2008 Ramadan & Eid Festival is once again being coordinated by Al Multaqa Local & International Exhibition, a leading organiser of festivals and special events particularly in the UAE and Syria. Once again Al Multaqa has re-created a joyful atmosphere for Ramadan, combining a consumer show with traditional celebration. It will be a highlight for families during the holy month of Ramadan. Show Organiser and Director, Mr. Tareq Amer, from Al Multaqa Local & Internationals Exhibition, said: “This year the show is bigger than ever featuring consumer goods from the U.A.E, Lebanon, Egypt, India, Pakistan, Syria, Morocco, Vietnam, China, Kuwait and Turkey. The highlight of the show is the daily raffles for luxury prizes and discounted goods. We have also developed a special section for children to play and learn featuring a cultural theatre, fun rides and art shows. We look forward to celebrating and educating families of the importance of Ramadan.” The family festival will be held daily from 8pm until 3am, Monday the 8th of September until Thursday the 2nd of October 2008. Entry is AED 5 per adult, Children under 10years are free of charge. Every Sunday of the event will be for ladies only.
