Al Fahim Highlights Priorities for Projects Sector at AWCS 2009











Abdul Majeed Ismail Al Fahim, Chairman of Pearl Dubai FZ LLC, highlighted sustainable business practices for projects at the Arabian World Construction Sector (AWCS) 2009 that opened today at the Emirates Palace in Abu Dhabi. Bringing his perspectives to the panel discussion titled ‘Business Sustainability in a Challenging Market’, Al Fahim said: "The current scenario calls for increased focus on strengthening our businesses and ensuring that our projects remain sustainable. Moreover, the time could not be more right to reiterate our collective commitment to the environment and social responsibility.” Al Fahim also highlighted the sustainable components of the AED15 billion Dubai Pearl luxury project at the event that will run until 11 February. Defining Dubai Pearl as a landmark project that is fast taking shape in the vicinity of TECOM’s knowledge clusters, he said the development when complete will provide a fully integrated lifestyle reflecting the philosophy of live, work, play and stay. Al Fahim added: “Dubai Pearl, in its entirety, will come to represent Dubai’s commitment to creating projects that integrate sustainable development principles.
