Western Region Police Prepare For Al Dhafra Camel Festival |

The Western Region Police announced that their slogan would be “We are wherever the public wants us”, as a part of their preparation for Al Dhafra Camel festival, which will kick off on Saturday at Zayed City in the Western Region. They also informed the public of the opening of a police center at the venue to promote policing and services efforts. Colonel Ojeil Ali Abdullah, Director of the Western Region Police Directorate, called upon the public to avail the services and initiatives launched by the directorate, and not hesitate to contact the police departments present at the festival’s venue on the emergency number 999, or the security patrols on-site to report any emergency or for any general inquiry. Colonel Abdullah noted that awareness and assistance teams will be supporting the awareness activities and programs and introducing them to the public. He urged motorist to adhere to traffic laws while strolling across the event venue and refrain from venturing into the rugged area surrounding the festival site. He also called upon them to drive their vehicles within the legal speed limits especially in crowded areas and near the camels’ stables. In conclusion, Colonel Abdullah explained that the police entities will endeavor within the framework of the festival, to cater to visitors’ needs, preserve their safety, and help them to easily access the locations they wish to visit at the venue. |
