Sharjah Heritage Days Attracts A Large Audience To The Stage And Plaza











The ‘Days Stage’, which is located at the entrance of Sharjah Heritage Days Square was a hotspot of amazing international folklore shows and folk dances performed by ensembles from Kuwait, Lebanon, Egypt, Morocco, Algeria, Serbia, and Korea, in addition to many local bands. The stage attracted a large crowd of folklore lovers who enjoyed watching awe-inspiring art shows and folk dances that revealed the cultural diversity of the past.

Abdul Aziz Al Musallem, Chairman of Sharjah Heritage Institute, said that the ‘Days Stage’ is one of the major points of attraction in Sharjah Heritage Days that draws a large audience of local and international folklore lovers. “We have hosted many ensembles from Kuwait, Algeria, Korea, Lebanon, Iraq, Egypt, Serbia, and Morocco in addition to local ensembles. The inspiring shows ranged from wedding henna, marine arts, Ayala and Al Dan among other folk arts and dances, which entertained audiences of the Days theatre”, he said.

Abdul Aziz Al Musallem, Chairman of Sharjah Heritage Institute added: “We are keen to add new local, Arab and international elements every year. Sharjah Heritage Days is a world-class cultural and heritage extravaganza that brings the beauty of folklore to visitors from all ages and backgrounds”.  

He added that the local ensembles are performing fascinating shows and folk dances such as Ayala, Rizfa, Soma, Tarij, Razif, Aradha in addition to mountain dances: such as Nidba, Rawah, Harbiya, Noban, Tanboura, Liwa, Haban, and marine arts which all attracted visitors and heritage lovers from citizens and residents, alike. Sharjah young adults presented various shows, including a song titled ‘Its Love in the Heart Zayed’ and a poem titled ‘Our Faithful Leader’.
