Sharjah Light Festival Adds Splendour To The Emirate’s Magnificent Mosques |

Sharjah Light Festival has put the spotlight on five of the most magnificent mosques in Sharjah Masjid Al Noor beside Khalid Lagooon on Buhaira Corniche, Masjid Al Taqwa at Al Majaz Waterfront, Masjid Al The Sharjah Light Festival is being held from February 4th to 13th this year with daily shows from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. on weekdays and until midnight on weekends. This year, Masjid Al Noor on Buhariah Corniche gets wrapped in beautiful shapes by artist Mathilde Rouault, illustrating places and forms of art from around the world, while Masjid Al Taqwa features a show of travel by artist Cindy Lo, exploring different locations and scenery from the windows of a train. Masjid Al Maghfira on the Sharjah Corniche Street hosts the show 'Original Maps', by artist Charlie Bayot, who transforms the mosque with graphical movements of light inspired by old world maps developed by Arab geographers from the Middle Ages. |
