SCI Patients To Receive Subsidised Medical Care At University Hospital Sharjah

Patients sponsored by Sharjah Charity International, SCI, will receive subsidised medical care at the University Hospital Sharjah, UHS, following the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding, MoU, between the two parties.

The MoU was signed by Abdulla Ali Al Mahyan, Chairman of UHS, and Abdullah Sultan Bin Khadim, Executive Director and Board Member of SCI.

Based upon the agreement, selective medical services will be discounted for patients referred by the Sharjah charity. The MoU will be effective for one year from the date of signing and subsequently renewable upon mutual agreement between both parties.

Speaking at the signing, Al Mahyan said, "This is a significant partnership, as we are reaching out to meet the vision of the hospital in providing quality health care. This collaboration paves the way for the provision of dialysis, intensive-care and other specialised treatments at a very affordable cost. It also further extends coverage to a larger community to ensure that UHS is acknowledged as a leading health care institution in Sharjah, the region, and eventually, the world."

Bin Khadim expressed his gratitude, saying, "We are honoured to be a part of this MoU and look forward to a long and fruitful relationship with University Hospital. We are certain that the members, employees and other beneficiaries of our charity institution will benefit greatly from this agreement, especially those patients who are unable to pay for treatment."
