Sharjah National Hotels Expects Strong Fourth-Quarter Nearly Doubling The Performance Of Last Year

Sharjah National Hotels, which comprises a group of hotels and resorts situated in various picturesque locations in the emirate, has seen positive growth at the end of its third quarter. Due to the recent introduction of group purchasing initiatives have contributed to the overall group improvement of 42% when compared with 2015’s third-quarter growth.

Ian Phillips, Acting Chief Executive Officer for Sharjah National Hotels, said: “Throughout the third-quarter, the majority of guests staying at Hotel Holiday International, Marbella Resort, and The Oceanic Hotel were travelling from across the UAE and GCC.. Due to the school holiday season, we noticed an increase in the average length of stay for our guests, many of whom were staying three to four nights per visit.”

Sharjah National Hotels are also expecting strong growth in the final quarter of the year. A large number of confirmed bookings from the Sharjah Government, tour operators, exhibitions and events are already in place, and early indications of advanced bookings from Central and Eastern Europe markets are much stronger than last year during the same period.

Supporting these signs of growth are various sporting groups that Sharjah Hotels will be hosting in the coming days. “It is with great pleasure that we will be hosting large groups of sports teams coming to the Emirates to represent their countries. Later this month, Hotel Holiday International will host riders and organisers from the Sharjah International Cycling Tour as well as numerous cricket and basketball teams that will be competing in the emirate,” said Ian Phillips, Acting Chief Executive Officer for Sharjah National Hotels.

The 21st of October sees the opening of the Oceanic Triathlon in Khorfakkan, which is a three-event series during the months of October, February and April hosted by the Oceanic Resort and Spa.  This event will bring approximately 200 athletes from across the UAE to the east coast to compete in a setting that has arguably become one of the most beautiful and challenging triathlons on the UAE calendar.

Both the Sharjah Cycle Tour and the Oceanic Triathlon are proudly sponsored by Sharjah Islamic Bank.
