Customer Service In Abu Dhabi Set To Improve After Eco Life In Abu Dhabi Project Held At Yas Marina Circuit

Initiative brought together government entities to discuss the improvement of Life in Abu Dhabi

Customer service efficiency is set to improve across the UAE following the ECO Life in Abu Dhabi event, held at Yas Marina Circuit last month.

The Abu Dhabi government initiative brought together mid and senior-level employees from various government entities for a five-day conference on customer service. The event was the first initiative from the Life in Abu Dhabi project, created by the newly-formed Government Services Office established within the Executive Committee Office, with further events and programs planned for the future.

The five-day event gathered government employees at Yas Marina Circuit and, through a number of tasks and challenges, focussed on improving life in Abu Dhabi across three key audiences: the citizen, the investor and the tourist. The teams worked from the venue's unique MICE facilities, such as the Main Pits and F1® garages, to find solutions to issues such as visa and entry permits, tourist experience at Abu Dhabi Airport, residency permits, trade licensing enquiries, registering for schools and tenancy contracts.

The event made use of Yas Marina Circuit's unique MICE facilities with customised informal spaces to help bring the teams together, with team-building activities used to enhance the process of developing the initiatives.

It was the first time the government entities have come together in such a way. said Juma Humaid Al Nuaimi, Director of Government Services Office. having Yas Marina Circuit on board to deliver the Life in Abu Dhabi project helped to organize a very successful event.

On days one and two, the teams were tasked with identifying the issues and problems that UAE citizens, investors and tourists regularly face and then establishing more than 100 ideas to help improve them. On days three and four the participants filtered the large number of ideas into the best possible solutions and began planning their implementation. The final day was reserved for a visit by the participating government entities senior management as the teams exhibited their ideas.

There was a notable moment on day three when the Abu Dhabi Executive Committee held their weekly meeting within the MICE facilities at Yas Marina Circuit. The committee passed by the on-going initiative and recognised what had been done by the teams.

The venue’s Main Pits location was transformed into a relaxation area for participants and was completely revamped thanks to its ability to be fully-customised. Above the pits, the Paddock Suites were divided into separate rooms where team-building activities and discussions took place.

Yas Marina Circuit is a very unique space for a MICE event such as Life in Abu Dhabi,” continued Juma Humaid Al Nuaimi. We divided the Paddock Suites into rooms for activities and it give a sense to the key messages we wanted to send to the teams.

Work to improve customer service efficiency across the Abu Dhabi following the ECO Life in Abu Dhabi is currently ongoing and will be implement over the coming months.
