AlBayt Mitwahid, Sandooq Al Watan And Al Khayarat Foundation Launch ’Jousoor’ Initiative To Nurture Skills Of Youth











AlBayt Mitwahid, an initiative established by the staff of the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince's Court has joined hands with Sandooq Al Watan, a nationwide initiative by leading Emirati entrepreneurs to support sustainable advancement and prepare for the post-oil era, and Al Khayarat Foundation to launch the ‘Jousoor’ initiative aimed at developing the skills of Emirati students and prepare them for careers in the private sector.

HE Dr. Ahmed Bahloul Al Falasi, Minister of State for Higher Education; HE Lieutenant General Dhahi Khalfan Tamim, Deputy Chief of Police and Public Security in Dubai and Chairman of Al Watan Fund, and senior officials announced the initiative.

The initiative represents an ideal model for effective partnerships to create the right environment for young professionals to integrate into the private sector. It targets university students from the UAE - new graduates and graduates who complete their studies at local universities or outside the country with a high degree of competency. Jousoor serves as a strong catalyst for developing their career skills to explore opportunities in the private sector.

Lieutenant General Dhahi Khalfan Tamim, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police and Chairman of Sandooq Al Watan, said: “The initiative is an example of the partnership of the public and private sectors to train national cadres to start a career path equipped with the right qualifications and skills for achieving success. It will provide the basic elements that enable students to integrate into the labour market and support development projects with the required competencies. It also allows us to identify the best national talent and develop their capacity for serving as active contributors to advancing sustainable and integrated development.”

Saif Al Qubaisi, Chairman of Al Bayt Mitwahid Association, expressed delighted to launch the third edition of Jusoor. He pointed out that the program aimed at by developing the basic skills and abilities required for students in the private sector and providing them with practical experience through their direct contact with institutions. To enhance the capabilities and skills of national cadres.

Al-Midfa explained that Emirati youth are the foundation of the UAE's future, and that the outcomes of this collaborative effort will undoubtedly have a positive impact on students and private sector companies. Khayarat looks forward to continuing this successful partnership to contribute towards the development the nation's human capital.

Positive step on the path to development

Jousoor will be an important step in increasing the participation of highly skilled Emiratis in the private sector. It will contribute to enhancing the skills of university students and strengthen their awareness of careers in the private sector.

The initiative will be implemented in several stages, which will contribute to the development of their competencies, performance, productivity and creativity. It includes an internship programme and workshops by leading private companies, where participants learn practical skills that contribute to their success to career development.

They will also be trained in creating impressive CVs and in preparing for job interviews. The workshops will help develop their ability to analyze and face challenges, acquire teamwork competencies, as well as business ethics and communication skills.

The participants will be offered a career guidance programme and opportunities to communicate with highly experienced Emirati business leaders. They will receive direct professional guidance from Emirati employees working in the private sector. The initiative also includes various activities aimed at achieving the overarching objectives of developing the skills of youth and empowering them to be involved in the private sector.

Selection of participants

Experts from Sandooq Al Watan and AlBayt Mitwahid have developed a mechanism to select the best talent in multiple stages. It will utilise social media to raise awareness among participants on the initiative and urge them to participate in the programme.

This will be followed by an evaluation stage, based on several criteria, including technical skills, language competencies, academic performance and motivation for participation. The participants will be invited for an initial interview, and short-listed candidates will be selected at a final interview with private sector partners.
