Fashion Hits Home This Season At Yas Mall

Yas Mall to host Home Fashion Spectacular from 3-7 October

Yas Mall, the largest mall in Abu Dhabi, is hosting an awe-inspiring home fashion extravaganza, this October, in association with Emirates Home. Featuring international trend-setting interior design celebrities Colin & Justin, along with special complimentary influencer workshops on everything from wardrobe organizing to accessorizing tips.

Visitors to Yas Mall during October 3-7 can join all the action in Town Square to watch as Colin & Justin create magical room make-overs in just 30 minutes. Attendees will have the chance to share the latest tips and tricks from these global celebrity icons on how to transform interior spaces from ordinary to extraordinary. And all on a budget.

And what’s more, with a spend of AED 500 or more during the month of October at any home furnishing retailer, mall visitors can win a home make-over worth 20,000 AED with special advice from a team of home interior experts. Lucky winners can also have a chance to win a business class trip home or, away from home, courtesy of Etihad Airways*.

For five whole days, Yas Mall will be transformed into a bespoke Interior Design venue as Colin & Justin give interactive workshops, using products and furniture from Yas retailers, including The One, Pottery Barn, Pottery Barn Kids, PB Teen, West Elm, Home Centre, Debenhams, Muji and ACE Hardware. A home mock-up set up at Town Square will showcase different retailers every day and will offer visitors the chance to learn how to decorate their homes, using the latest accessories to update their interiors with a pop of style and personal expression.

Giving the ‘Fashion Hits Home’ event a Middle Eastern feel, Colin & Justin will be joined by influencers such as Hala Abdulla, Mthayel Ali and Mariam Yehya and Naomi D’Souze for workshops showing guests how they can merge personality, style and fashion flare into the interiors of their home.  The workshops will be set up at Town Square (attendance is free) and all the products used in the demonstrations will be available to purchase immediately within Yas Mall.

Shatha Al Romaithy, Marketing Manager of Yas Mall, commented ‘We are delighted to welcome Colin & Justin to the Middle East for the first time and to our Fashion Hits Home event at Yas Mall. From 3-7 October, Yas Mall visitors will have a chance to learn how a few simple tips on interior design can help transform their living space with each season and inject their home a touch of personal style. This event allows us to showcase the strong range of amazing home related brands here at Yas Mall and on Yas Island, starting with the largest The One store in the world, the largest IKEA in the Middle East, the only West Elm in Abu Dhabi, and the biggest Debenhams outside of the UK, meaning we can give our visitors an unparalleled choice of brands that will help them restyle their home.’

Throughout the ‘Fashion Hits Home’ event, Yas Mall will be joined by Colin & Justin, international interior designers, style commentators and all-round lifestyle gurus. Colin & Justin rose to fame in The UK with ‘The Million Pound Property Experiment’ on BBC2 along with BBC1 ‘Trading Up’, Channel Five ‘The Estate‘, ‘Colin and Justin’s Wedding Belles’, ‘How NOT To Decorate’ & ‘20 Ways With Property’.  They hosted 25 episodes of ITV1 ’60 Minute Makeover’ and took part in ‘Home Is Where The Heart Is’, again on ITV.

In Canada, the designers hosted HGTV ‘Colin and Justin’s Home Heist’ and currently host ‘Colin and Justin’s Cabin Pressure’ on Cottage Life. They were also series judges on ‘Game of Homes’ (a competition show with a house as first prize) on The W Network.  In addition, they are guest design and décor experts on Canadian daytime talk show ‘Cityline’.  In Australia, for Channel 10, they guest hosted an episode of ‘The Living Room’ and for Channel 9, Colin and Justin were guest judges last year on 'The Block' and series judges during 'Reno Rumble'.
