Abu Dhabi Ports Wins Five Prizes Of Abu Dhabi Award For Excellence In Government Performance











Dr. Sultan bin Ahmad Al Jaber, Minister of State and Chairman of Abu Dhabi Ports, stated on Wednesday that the UAE's vision and directives have been the driving force behind the significant progress achieved by the company in its projects and initiatives.

Dr. Sultan made the statement on the occasion of the Abu Dhabi Ports' winning of five prizes of the Abu Dhabi Award for Excellence in Government Performance ( (ADAEP).

''The company's winning of the Main Award underscores its commitment to promoting concepts of innovation and creativity in all areas of work whether in project implementation or improvement of services which will entrench Abu Dhabi's standing in the region and beyond,'' Dr. Al Jaber said.

He added the winning of these prizes reflects the relentless efforts made by the teamwork and its keenness on spreading the culture of excellence.

Abu Dhabi Ports bagged the following prizes in the fifth cycle 2017 : Main award for Outstanding entity: Granted to the entity which managed to distinctively carry out its main duties and worked towards the fulfillment of the requirements of the Abu Dhabi Government. Coherence and integration are paramount in its performance and this entity has the best results in all criteria.

Abu Dhabi plan: Granted to entities that managed to fulfil the requirements of Abu Dhabi plan.

Financial:Granted to the best entity that showed an outstanding financial performance and worked towards the optimal use of resources while raising operational efficiency.

Best Government Service Awards:Granted to the entity which developed a service that was able to achieve outstanding results.

Abdulkareem Al Masabi, Executive Vice President - Ports Unit, was awarded the Chairman Executive Council Medal for the Executive Director.

The accolade is granted to Executive Managers who have made a significant difference to their entities and society at large. It can also be granted to employees with supervisory roles at various administrative levels such as Department Head, Pillar Manager, etc.
