Zayed Humanitarian Forum To Kick-Off Wednesday |

The ninth edition of the Zayed Humanitarian Forum will kick off on Wednesday, 30th May, at the Emirates Centre for Strategic Studies and Research. The Forum will see the participation of over 44 government and private institutions, coming together to discuss women's development and empowerment. The Forum is held in partnership with the Emirates Centre for Strategic Studies and Research, the General Women's Union, the Zayed Giving Initiative, Dar Al Ber Association, Sharjah Charity House and the Saudi-German Hospitals Group. Marking the Year of Zayed, the event will showcase a documentary highlighting the role the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan played in developing the UAE's humanitarian action model, which has helped numerous individuals on local, regional and international levels. Noura Al Suwaidi, Director-General of the General Women's Union, expressed her pleasure in organising this important humanitarian forum, adding that this event seeks to remind us of the great charitable works and legacy of the nation's Founding Father, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. "He dedicated his life to doing good and to serve humanity whenever needed," she affirmed. Sheikh Zayed's legacy continues under the guidance of the UAE leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces. |
