The Office of the Minister of Tolerance and Etihad Airways have signed a cooperation agreement to promote the values of tolerance, coexistence and respect for diversity. The agreement between the two parties seeks to promote these values in a more sustainable and enriching manner among different nationalities, cultures and religions via community projects in national and international events.

During the signing ceremony, Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak emphasised the importance of joint work and integrated efforts among all sectors and institutions, an approach formulated by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. Tolerance, respect and love enrich noble humanitarian values within national programmes and initiatives, creating a sustainable and stable environment for our diverse community in the UAE, he added.

The Minister of Tolerance went on to say that the UAE government, leadership and people are keen to transform the values of tolerance into sustainable and effective institutional working mechanisms, as emphasised by President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and Their Highnesses, Supreme Council Members and Rulers of the Emirates.

For his part, Al Mehairbi said that the signing of the agreement with the Office of the Minister of Tolerance marks an essential step to opening up horizons for the interest of the UAE community and celebrating the values of tolerance.

Etihad Airways is committed to applying the principles and values of tolerance in its daily operations, and providing diverse services to a wide range of customers from all over the world, he added.

The agreement will see cooperation efforts between the two parties concerning events celebrating the International Day of Tolerance on 16th November, as well as the Tolerance Cricket Cup and the Etihad Airways World Aviation Football Cup.
