Celebrate The Holy Month Of Ramadan At The Magical Night Zoo

Al Ain Wildlife Park & Resort (AWPR) invites visitors to experience Ramadan in a whole new light this year as it opens its gates from 9pm until 2am every night during the Holy month. This will mark the first time in AWPR’s forty-year history that it will be open to the public during Ramadan from late evening to past midnight.

Visitors will have the opportunity to watch penguin feeding demonstrations and live animal feedings at the Arabian and African mixed exhibits, see Birds of Prey in action during the exciting bird demonstrations, and feast on a traditional Suhoor meal at the restaurant located within the zoo - all with the majestic Jebel Hafeet as a backdrop.

Commenting on the opening of the Zoo during Ramadan, His Excellency, Majid Al-Mansouri, Managing Director of
AWPR said: “Ramadan is a family occasion, and a time for people to spend time with their loved ones in a peaceful and welcoming environment. AWPR’s Ramadan night zoo is the perfect way for families to enjoy the fellowship of the Holy month amidst our wildlife in natural surroundings.”

AWPR carefully selected the late-night opening hours to best fit with Ramadan traditions. During this season, this is the time of night when families and friends come together to socialize. Now they can spend the early hours of the night interacting with wildlife from around the world. Visitors can escape the hustle and bustle of the city and experience the animals’ nocturnal behaviour - from the endangered Arabian Oryx, to predatory lions and graceful giraffes – all during the cooler summer nights of Al Ain.
