Fourth Emirati Graduate Managers Group Starts Training

Etihad Airways’ latest group of Emirati trainee managers has commenced training at the airline’s headquarters in Abu Dhabi.

The seven men and four women, who come from across the United Arab Emirates, will spend the next 21 months training on the graduate management development programme. This involves a nine month workplace orientation in key Etihad departments, followed by a six month placement with a specified team.

The group members are: Ahmad Al Yousuf, Khalid Al Midhwahi, Ghanim Al Falasi, Khalid Al Marzooqi, Ghanim Al Muhairi, Abdalla Al Raeesi, Mohammad Al Banna, Meead Al Hammadi, Fatima Al Kharousi, Maisam Darwish and Athba Al Gergawi.

James Hogan said: “The Etihad Airways Emiratisation programme continues to grow at an impressive rate. We are proud to welcome the fourth group of graduate manager trainees to the airline who will follow in the footsteps of our first group, which graduated earlier this year and are now deployed in posts across the airline.

“During the next 21 months these young men and women will work in many of the airline’s departments learning about the company and the aviation industry. We look forward to them passing their assessments and course work and going on to build a successful career with Etihad.”

The Etihad Airways scheme now boasts 134 cadet pilots, 42 graduate managers and 29 technical engineers. The 173 men and 32 women are currently training in Abu Dhabi.

Abdalla Al Raeesi, a member of Etihad’s fourth group of graduate manager trainees, said: “It makes me very proud to have gained a place on the Etihad Airways graduate management development programme and I am very excited to start training with the airline.

“Etihad has established itself as a leading global airline in less than six years and I look forward to contributing to this impressive achievement.”
