Highest newspaper print honour goes to UPP at Dubai Print Awards

United Printing and Publishing (UPP), the wholly-owned printing subsidiary of Abu Dhabi Media Company, has won the Gold award in the newspaper printing category at the third annual Dubai Print Awards for its production of The National.

The annual Dubai Print Awards, organised by the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s Printing and Publishing Group, brings together leading printers and publishers to recognise the significant roles that companies play in the success and growth of the industry. This year, more than 700 entries were submitted by companies from across the GCC region across 14 categories which rewarded innovation, creativity and technological advancements.

Commenting on the award, Gavin Dickinson, Executive Director of Publishing, said: “UPP has established itself as a leading printing and publishing company in the region. Winning the Gold award is a great endorsement as the company moves to become world-class leaders in publishing, with the implementation of new, state-of-the-art printing presses later this year. ” He added: “Our award is a tribute to the hard work and effort put in by our printing team and a testament to UPP’s investment in cutting-edge technology and equipment.”
