Foreign reporters explore Abu Dhabi’s historical, cultural landmarks

The Media Committee of the AFC Asian Cup UAE 2019 today organised a sightseeing tour for the media delegates covering the continental championship.

The tour included the iconic Louvre Abu Dhabi; Qasr Al Hosn Fort, the Ancestral Home of the Al Nahyan and the Symbolic Heart of Abu Dhabi; and Wahat Al Karama, a permanent tribute and war memorial to honor UAE's martyred soldiers, where the visitors were impressed by the immense historical and cultural potential boasted by the country.

The reporters expressed their thanks and appreciation to the AFC Asian Cup Media Committee for the neat organisation of the tour and for the enabling efforts made to ensure a successful media coverage of the prestigious event.

Romero-Sánchez, the Spain's Marca journalist, expressed his delight over the tour, describing the organisation as a "complete success".

"It was a firsthand experience to explore the spectacular tourist potential of the country which I visit for the first time. I'm glad being here covering this significant continental event. It goes without saying the UAE has remarkably succeeded in organising the games and proved it has immense organisational potential to host the world's biggest championships," the Spanish reporter said.

"It's not my first visit to the country which I frequently visit either for business or as a tourist. However, I can safely say this is my best visit ever. I'm very delighted with the warm welcome and hospitality shown by our Emirati brothers, and I really feel proud of the impressive success made through hosting the continent's largest championship," said reporter Abdulrahman Al Moshabab, of Saudi Al-Riyadiya newspaper.

Accompanying the foreign delegates were Mohamed Al Badi', Chairman of the Media Committee, and his team.
