Dubai World Announces Strong Presence in Career Fair Hosted by American University Of Sharjah

Bin Sulayem Invites UAE Youth to Seek Career Opportunities in Group

Dubai World announced on Monday (February 26) that a number of its business units and companies would participate in the Career Fair 2007 to be hosted by the American University of Sharjah today Tuesday (February 27).

The day-long Fair is aimed at showcasing career opportunities in the country to qualified people and new graduates.

Sultan Ahmad Bin Sulayem, Chairman of Dubai World, said:

“The American University of Sharjah is recognized as a well known educational institution not only at the UAE level but across the Middle East as a whole. We are proud to participate in the Career Fair hosted by the University. Such an event will give the students, and especially UAE national graduates, the opportunity to learn about the job openings within Dubai World and its business units.”

The holding company, among the largest in the world, has a proactive policy of encouraging local talent within its management and executive ranks. Last year it partnered with the Wharton Business School in Pennsylvania, USA, to launch the Dubai Leaders Program.

Inviting young graduates and students to visit the Dubai World stand at Career Fair, Mr Bin Sulayem said:

“Human resources are our most valuable asset and investing in their development is integral to our growth strategy. Dubai World constantly seeks to infuse new blood in the organization. We are eager to attract energetic young people and prepare them to assume leadership roles in the future.”

The Dubai World display stand at Career Fair 2007 will showcase a number of group companies such as Nakheel Properties, Jafza, Dubai Multi Commodities Center and the Civil Engineering Department at Ports, Customs & Free Zone Corporation.

Representatives from these companies – which rank among the most prestigious employers in the Gulf – would be present at the stand to provide information and counseling to visitors.
