ADACH Offers World-Class Training For All Levels Of Leadership In The Regional Publishing Industry |

A world-class training programme for mid-management publishing professionals in the Arab World will be offered by KITAB, a joint venture between the Abu Dhabi Authority for Culture and Heritage (ADACH) and the Frankfurt Book Fair, in collaboration with the Academy for the German Book Trade and the Goethe-Institute Gulf Region. Funded by the ADACH and the Germans Federal Foreign Office, the training sessions which will be running from 27 September until 1 October, the will be led by internationally recognised industry experts and will focus on providing practical knowledge-building discussions that are aimed at industry professionals at the mid-management level from across the Arab World. Topics up for discussion over the five days include the economic realities of a publishing house, planning and strategy and the legal background and practical aspects of licensing, said ADACH in a press release. "The first publisher’s training sessions were held in June and targeted the CEO level. Building on the platform of success established, this time we are targeting mid-management level professionals in order to raise the bar right across the industry and ensure that skills cascade down through to all levels of the industry," Monika Krauss, General Manager of KITAB, said. "The region’s emerging publishing industry holds many opportunities for those who are fully equipped with the skills and knowledge to take advantage of them.
