Abu Dhabi’s Musanada Marks a Successful Milestone

Musanada, the Abu Dhabi Government’s shared services organization has today marked the successful Go-Live completion of the new Abu Dhabi Human Resource Management System (HRMS). The new system was launched on September 29th 2009 and has just completed three weeks of operational service recording 100% availability throughout.

The HRMS is the first Government-wide shared service provided by Musanada’s Technology Services division. The new system is based on the Oracle e-Business Suite, and is now being actively used by 20 Government entities with over 200 core HR users.

Ali Rashed Al Ketbi, Assistant General Secretary of the Public Administration Directorate of the General Secretariat (PAD-GSEC), stated: "The HRMS system is among the key initiatives in the Abu Dhabi Government that focuses on human capital development".

Musanada’s Technology Services team planned and executed the design, implementation, testing and launch of the new HRMS, with the support of PAD-GSEC, the Department of Finance and the Abu Dhabi Systems ’&’ Information Centre (ADSIC), whilst leveraging the delivery capabilities of its project partner Injazat and its service providers Etisalat, Oracle, Alpha Data and Ever. The new HRMS project was completed on schedule and marks a strong and successful partnership between Musanada and Injazat, whose fully fault-tolerant Data Center hosts the new system.

The new Abu Dhabi HRMS is a significant step in realizing the ADSIC strategy for a Shared Government Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) platform, and provides a secure, flexible and reliable service with a dedicated support function.

Over the coming months, Musanada will be working closely with PAD-GSEC to roll-out enhanced HRMS functionality to just fewer than 9,000 Government employees.
