On this special initiative, Sheikha Salama commented: We want to engage young talent to promote Emirati culture and heritage - to show their society through their eyes. The children of Abu Dhabi hold in their hands the opportunity for a bright future, in a nation in which art and culture can become bridges for international understanding’ The response from the children was exciting. Obvious pride was shown when the first glimpse of their large scale artwork buses became visible to them. It is hoped that developing creative skills for self expression using art as a global language will translate what it truly means to be an Emirati, in a society that is developing and evolving, yet working to preserve UAE history, heritage and tradition.

Fatma Al Amri, in fifth grade expressed her excitement when she first saw her drawing wrapped around one of public buses saying: "When I grow up, I want to be an artist and I want my artwork to be showcased in galleries where everyone could see them, just like my painting is displayed here touring my beloved Abu Dhabi".

This is "for Abu Dhabi, by the youth of Abu Dhabi".
