Leading Medical Research Conference In Al Ain


World Class Speakers at SEHA Event "Research is the foundation of all medicine"










The SEHA Research Conference in Al Ain begins on Sunday 13 December, showcasing some of the most valuable and innovative healthcare research in the Middle East. Top medical professionals from around the world will present new findings, methods and techniques to audiences of physicians, nurses, allied health workers, researchers and healthcare policy makers.

SEHA, the Abu Dhabi Health Services Company, which is responsible for the curative activities of the public hospitals and clinics of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, is hosting the event to highlight the importance of continuing medical research. The conference is being supported and organized with the help of Tawam Hospital a premier 477-bed tertiary care facility in Al Ain and the one of the largest hospitals in the UAE, renowned for providing outstanding medical services across the GCC. Tawam is owned and operated by SEHA.

Dr. Ali Abdulkareem Al Obaidli, Chief Clinical Officer of SEHA believes the foundation of high quality medicine is through research. “We are committed to building a solid foundation for research, development and education and to developing the infrastructure required to support world class standards for healthcare delivery,” he said.

“This conference has attracted world class speakers who will be discussing subjects like global responsibilities for medical research, genetics in the Middle East, the new SEHA Research Centre, and how to introduce medical research for new researchers. It is a complete approach to an essential aspect of healthcare.”

Selected projects of research excellence will be highlighted and prizes awarded for the best Medical Research, best Nursing Research and best Allied Health Research. There will also be a Lifetime Achievement Award recipient.

Dr. Miriam Al Mazrouei, Clinical Affairs Manager, said: “This conference will lay the foundations for future annual events and establish itself as the foremost meeting for research debate in the Middle East. As with any science, medicine is reliant on research. New findings lead to better healthcare, disease prevention, faster diagnosis and so on. It is the building block of advancement and this conference brings together some truly great minds who appreciate that and can educate others.”
