NBAD Wins Retail Bank Of The Year Award |

The National Bank of Abu Dhabi (NBAD), has won the Retail Bank of the Year award as judged by Arabian Business Achievement Awards 2009."We are delighted that National Bank of Abu Dhabi (NBAD) has been recognized as the most accomplished retail bank in a year of stiff competition and challenging market conditions. Our focus on delivering the best service and products to our customers continues to pay dividend on many fronts," said Saif Al Shehhi, Senior General Manager of NBAD’s Domestic Banking Division, after receiving the award at a glittering award ceremony in Dubai. "Since its inception in 1968, NBAD has been playing significant and leading roles in the economic and social development of the UAE as well as fulfilling our customers’ requirements. Winning the Retail Bank of the Year encourages us even further to leave no stone unturned in meeting and surpassing the expectations of our valued customers," he confirmed. Winning the Retail Bank of the Year in the Arabian Business Achievement Awards 2009 adds to slew of recognition that NBAD has accomplished this year, including making the list of the World’s 50 safest Banks, which was compiled by Global Finance after examining 500 of the largest financial institutions; Best Bank in the UAE by Euoromoney; Best Corporate Governance Award from Hawkama; Best Personal Loan in the Middle East from Banker Middle East; 2009 Best Investors Relations Company Award from Middle East Investor Relations Society; and The Strategic banking Website in the UAE from the Pan Arab Web Awards Academy. "The UAE banking market is very competitive with more than 50 national and foreign banks competing for a customer-base of about 4.5 million," said John Malouf, the General Manager of Consumer Banking at NBAD. "To be a leader in this market, we have to provide customers with the products and services they want, when they want them and how they want them delivered- the right product, at the right time in the right place", he added.
