ZU To Start Admissions Of National Male Students In Dubai By Next Academic Year |

Zayed University has announced that it will start admissions of UAE national male students to enroll into it’s Dubai campus, with the start of the academic year 2010 - 2011. The first cohort of national males to be admitted to the Dubai campus will consist of 200 students. Classes for male students will start after the female students have finished their classes and have left the campus for the day. Dr. Sulaiman Al Jassim Vice President of Zayed University said:"This initiative is a testimony to the success that Zayed University has achieved in becoming an essential element of the educational landscape of the UAE and the region, through enrolling UAE national male students in it’s Abu Dhabi campus 2 years ago, and the admission of the first batch of international students from Kuwait". The success of both these initiatives, as well as being internationally accredited by The Middle States Commission on Higher Education, has made Zayed University an attractive educational destination for both national and international students. "The decision to enroll UAE national male students into the University’s Dubai campus, following the same academic model as their female and male counterparts on Abu Dhabi campus, is part of Zayed University’s continuous mission in responding to the needs of the United Arab Emirates", said Dr. Al Jassim. "A mission that was inspired by the aspirations and lasting vision of the founding president of the United Arab Emirates, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al-Nahayan, the person whose name Zayed University is honored to bear", he said. Dr. Al Jassim explained that this initiative integrates the directives of His Highness, the President of UAE, Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al-Nahayan, in providing the UAE’s youth with the skills that ensure their success as future leaders, and with the continuing encouragement and support of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al-Maktoum Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai and His Highness Sheikh Mohammmed bin Zayed Al-Nahayan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, Zayed University will continue to utilize international best practices and quality assurance. He said: "All the University’s success and accomplishments are indications of the tireless efforts of His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research President of Zayed University, and his diligence in guiding the University to reach the position of prominence it holds today as the leading university in the UAE and in the region". |
