Horizon Offers Flexible Study To Time-Hungry Aviation Professionals; Academy Attends Al Ain Aerobatic Show

Al Ain based Horizon International Flight Academy (HIFA) has confirmed its participation at the upcoming Al Ain Aerobatic Show taking place by the Al Ain International Airport from 27 – 30 January, 2010.

With recent reports citing the Middle East as a global hub in the future with 12 major airports across the region and investment reaching $86bn in the region, the demand for pilots is growing and we are ready to meet this demand by acting as a gateway for students who want a career related to aviation, according to the academy’s General Manager, Mohammed Humaidan Al Zaabi.

Throughout the four days students can find out about career options in the burgeoning aviation sector with a comprehensive range of flying courses, including the exclusive Higher Diploma in Aviation Business Administration designed for professionals with a flying career who later want to move to a management career.

“However aviation professionals who are currently involved with a flying career have little or no time to pursue study opportunities”, he observed.

“Therefore it makes sense to offer a course schedule around their availability and needs, by being an adaptable and accessible academy. And one of the most attractive features of the diploma is the flexible course schedule which does not conflict with the unpredictable working routine of employed individuals,” Al Zaabi concluded.

The Higher Diploma in Aviation Business Administration is accredited by the UAE Ministry of Higher Education and Horizon is the only Academy to receive licensure from the Ministry to offer the Diploma course alongside the pilot training program.

The course includes a comprehensive mix of business and aviation subjects covering three semesters and is open to pilots and students of all nationalities. The Academy also provides courses for private pilot licenses, commercial pilot licenses, air transport pilot licenses and flight instructor courses, using Bell helicopters and Cessna aeroplanes fitted with glass cockpit.
