Jobs Abu Dhabi Offers 600 New Jobs











The participation of Jobs Abu Dhabi, Abu Dhabi’s premier job portal, at Abu Dhabi Recruitment Show (Tawdheef 2010) which opened today at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center has seen a strong presence from the leading public and private sector organisations under one umbrella.

The pavilion of Jobs Abu Dhabi features representatives from prominent government and private institutions including Abu Dhabi Systems and Information Centre (ADSIC), Department of Municipal Affairs including the Abu Dhabi, Al Ain and the Western Region municipalities, Emirates Steel Industries, Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange, Abu Dhabi Ports Company, Musanada, Al Ain Hospital, Abu Dhabi University Knowledge Group, the Corniche Hospital, Yah Sat Foundation, Emirates Nuclear Energy Corporation, National Health Insurance Company-Daman, Abu Dhabi Airports Company and the Institute of Applied Technology.

The participation of Jobs Abu Dhabi at the show is part of its efforts to provide services for searching and filling vacancies electronically to enhance the efficiency of the labour market in Abu Dhabi and help government and private institutions find suitable work force. The portal also seeks to improve the transparency of available positions and support the Emiratisation efforts which command a high priority for the Government of Abu Dhabi.

The site jobs.abudhabi.ae is an e-Government initiative which currently encompasses six hundred new jobs in Abu Dhabi offered by both public sector and leading private sector organisations.

The most important feature of the site is the intelligent search service which facilitates job search by selected criteria to find instantaneous matching of job opportunities with qualified candidates. The site, which is available in Arabic, English and French, also include mechanisms to ensure the currency of the job and CV postings.

Jobs Abu Dhabi creates a forum for both employers and job-seekers to network and fulfill their respective employment needs. To serve employers from the public and private sectors in Abu Dhabi, as well as job-seekers from around the globe, Jobs Abu Dhabi was developed leveraging global best practices in the arena of virtual job markets.

Jobs Abu Dhabi is an initiative by Abu Dhabi Systems and Information Centre (ADSIC) which announces the jobs opportunities offered by various government entities as well as interested private sector institutions on Jobs Abu Dhabi Website. The initiative is part of a strategy which aims to achieve a service oriented government in Abu Dhabi, advance the government services and expand the scope of their availability. It also seeks to improve the efficiency of the government and promote the use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) as an enabler for the implementation of the national modernization programmes across all sectors of the Emirate.

Commenting on the participation of Jobs Abu Dhabi at Tawdheef 2010, His Excellency Rashed Lahej Al Mansoori, Director General of ADSIC, said: "The Jobs Abu Dhabi Portal plays a pivotal role in familiarizing thousands of jobseekers about the prominent employers in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and help them find a stable, secure and permanent job in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain and the Western Region.

"This initiative boosts the e-transformation efforts and the creation of a knowledge based society and economy.", he added.

A recent customer satisfaction survey carried out by ADSIC found out that the customer satisfaction rate in the public sector employers currently stands at 90.5% and private sector at 89.7%. The average rate in both sectors is 90%.

The respondents to this survey stressed the importance of Jobs Abu Dhabi as a contributor to the improvement of recruitment process and other related procedures, thus saving a lot of expenses which previously went to recruitment firms and facilitating a direct access for jobseekers. All respondents also expressed their willingness to continue to use the services of Jobs offered by Jobs Abu Dhabi in the future.

It should also be noted that the portal has extended its global reach as it has become a favourite platform for job seekers from more than 70% of the world nations.
