AWPR Attracts Local Talent At Leading Recruitment Fair |

Reinforcing its contribution to the Emiratisation policies set forth by the government of Abu Dhabi, the Al Ain Wildlife Park & Resort (AWPR) has successfully attracted hundreds of applications from employment seekers at Tawdheef 2010, the region’s most influential recruitment show which is currently underway at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC). As part of its ongoing commitment to Emiratisation, AWPR is offering a range of job opportunities to Emiratis in several roles across the board including non-traditional roles such as veterinary care, science, botany and education. AWPR’s recruitment strategy is in line with its ambitious expansion plans that will see the park become a model for cultural and ecological sustainability, conservation and education, following the principles established in the Abu Dhabi 2030 Urban Framework Plan. AWPR is also offering internship opportunities to Emiratis from various colleges and academic institutions in Al Ain. These training sessions will allow students to get hands-on experience in the various departments within AWPR, with possible opportunities for full-time positions upon graduation. Mr. Mohamed Al Hammadi, Chief Corporate Services Officer at the Al Ain Wildlife Park & Resort said: “We are proud to support the UAE’s Emiratisation policies by providing opportunities to the community to grow and develop within specialized areas of our organization. Those joining our team will be able to work within diverse fields, enabling them to learn from our experienced team of experts across a range of fields”. Tawdheef, which has seen impressive growth since its inception in 2007 from 40 exhibitors to over 60 this year, has gathered leading government and semi-government departments and organizations, including AWPR, to create a wide range of employment opportunities for Emiratis. AWPR was last month recognized for its commitment to sustainable design at the Estidama Excellence Awards, receiving three awards including one for the Sheikh Zayed Desert Learning Centre, a premier example of Estidama’s high environmental standards. The building, which will stand as a memorial to Sheikh Zayed, will showcase the opportunities of sustainable building design. “We are extremely pleased with the progress we have made so far, having experienced significant growth since we were established in 1967 by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan,” added Al Hammadi. “Following his vision to make the Emirates a viable place for locals to live and work in, we are happy to provide local Emirati talent with the opportunities to achieve these goals.” |
