ADM Receives A Delegation Of The Danish Kolding City











Engineer Abdullah Al Shamsi, Executive Director of Municipal Infrastructure & Assets Sector at Municipality of Abu Dhabi City, has recently received H.E. Jorn Pedersen the Mayor of the Danish Kolding city and the accompanying delegation. The visit comes in the context of the Municipality’s efforts to prop-up the cooperative relations and exchange expertise particularly in the field of infrastructure projects and successful practices in both cities.

 At the outset of the meeting Al Shamsi praised the relations linking the UAE and Denmark and the mutual cooperation between the two countries. The Danish delegation, which comprises members of the Municipal Council, and Chamber of Commerce at the Danish Kolding city, reviewed the projects undertaken by the Municipality of Abu Dhabi City, and its leading role in upgrading the infrastructure, road construction, traffic systems, parks and natural recreational facilities in Abu Dhabi.
 
Al Shamsi also shared with the visiting delegation Abu Dhabi experiment in applying the best practices and sustainability of alternative energy to the infrastructure, parks and open recreational facilities projects. He also reviewed the ongoing progress in some key projects such as Al Salam Street and highlighted its various phases and importance in ensuring smooth traffic flow in the city.
For his part the Mayor of Kolding city hailed the excellent development process Abu Dhabi city is currently undergoing and was impressed with the projects underway and the achievements made in all fields. He also commended the urbanization drive across the city and the caliber of services and facilities in place, particularly the ultra-modern infrastructure featuring this metropolitan city. He added that such a massive scale of mega urban projects is poised to leverage the economy of Abu Dhabi Emirates to world-class standards, usher in a new era of successful investments, and open the door for the inflow of large scale capitals & projects capable of shaping Abu Dhabi into an active economic and investment hub.
 
The Danish delegation made a presentation about sustainability, infrastructure and uses of alternative energy practices in their city, and reviewed the Danish experiment in the fields of infrastructure and property investment projects. They also reviewed the joint practices between the two countries and made a comparative analysis of the practices of Abu Dhabi city and the Danish practices in the field.
 
At the end of the meeting, engineer Abdullah Al Shamsi presented a memento in the form of a crystallized model of Sheikh Zayed’s Mosque, and accompanied the delegation in a tour of the permanent exhibition of the Municipality during which they attended to an elaborative briefing on the construction projects and the layouts of Abu Dhabi city development plans, with particular attention given to roads, bridges and other urban expansion projects.
