This week on the ‘Nashwa’ show, women in positions of leadership dominate the show hosted by leading media personality Nashwa Al Ruwaini. Nashwa talks to women who have excelled in different positions of power and leadership, proving that women are able to prove their presence in positions of high importance.
‘Nashwa’ is aired on Dubai TV every Monday at 22:30 and repeated every Saturday at 18:00.
Nashwa’s first guest, Dr. Fatima Al Baloushi, is the Minister of Social Affairs in Bahrain. Dr. Al Baloushi talks of her trials in advancing Bahraini society in the shadow of the new reforms overtaking the country as well as the role of family care in and creating a comfortable atmosphere for the elderly, working on the Family Bank Project in Bahrain and providing computers for the blind. On a more personal note, Dr. Al Baloushi talks of her husband’s support as she took her position in the ministry and helping her care for their children during busy times.
The show also welcomes the First Judge in Egypt, Dr. Tahani Al Gibali, to reveal the strangest cases she has ever encountered in the courtroom and the reasons behind the slow pace in court proceedings in Egypt.
Concluding the show in a segment with Nashwa is Mrs. Noora Al Shaaban, Founder and General Manager of Creation Forums. Creation Forums is the first center in Saudi Arabia to train girls in self-preservation, leadership in work and building opportunities for themselves instead of waiting for them. Noora also speaks of the role of women in the Gulf nowadays in various different fields of work.
