ALHOSN University Celebrates The Continued Success Of The UAE In Cultivating Cross-Cultural Harmony During The 4th International Day











ALHOSN University, a leading Abu Dhabi-based institution dedicated to high-quality and value-based education, has organized the 4th International Day held yesterday (Wednesday February 17, 2010). This celebration signifies the critical importance of unity and mutual respect among different cultures and nationalities in the distinctly cosmopolitan society of the UAE.

Teams made up of faculty, staff, and students delivered presentations and conducted exhibitions that represent different countries and cultures. At least sixteen countries were represented including: Algeria, Egypt, India, Iran, Iraq, Japan, Jordan, Korea, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Palestine, Sudan, Syria, Tunisia, and UAE.

Commenting on the event, Ms. Mahasen Al Mahasneh, Academic & Student Counsellor/Student Activity Coordinator, said: “The UAE features a unique fusion of people from different cultures and nationalities. This fusion reflects the broadmindedness of the country’s leaders and indicates the loving and tolerant nature of the Emirates’ people. I believe that this fusion has been a crucial factor in establishing the UAE’s reputation as a highly progressive and forward-thinking country".

"The International Day celebration manifests ALHOSN University’s commitment to help promote and maintain the cross-cultural harmony in our society. For the past four years, students, professors, and university staff have actively supported this commitment by developing creative presentations and exhibitions similar to those that we see today. Their efforts have helped driving greater awareness about the importance of unity and mutual respect among people of different cultures and nationalities", added Ms. Ghada Qabha, Student Affairs Director.

Abu Dhabi-based ALHOSN University started offering its academic programs in 2005. The University has three faculties and is accredited by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in the UAE. Students from different nationalities are enrolled in one of the university’s eleven undergraduate and seven graduate programs. Most of these programs were developed by professors from prestigious international universities.
