Al Wathba Stud Farm race attracts strong field

The Abu Dhabi Authority for Culture and Heritage’s (ADACH) HH Sheikh Mansoor bin Zayed Al Nahyan Global Flat Racing series race to be held on February 28 at the Abu Dhabi Equestrian Club has attracted a strong field of runners.

Horses trained by some of the UAE’s top Purebred Arabian trainers like Gillian Duffield and Eric Lemartinel will be saddling runners in Sunday’s seven-furlong race which is open to Private Owners.

Omani-bred Ezzattalab, US-bred Kazee, French-bred runners Qassim De Carrere and Haneen will take on some of the best UAE-bred maidens in Sunday’s race which is mainly sponsored by Invest AD.

Abdullah Al Qubaisi, Communications Director of ADACH, said, "We thank Invest AD for their support. The HH Sheikh Mansoor bin Zayed Al Nahyan Global Flat Racing series races being staged here in Abu Dhabi is the fourth race on Sunday and just before the Arabian Triple Crown (Round Two) which is a Group 3 race. This gives the Private Owners a good chance to showcase their runners." Lara Sawaya, Director of HH Sheikh Mansoor bin Zayed Al Nahyan Global Flat Racing, said, "This race series has had the strong support of Abu Dhabi Authority for Culture and Heritage (ADACH), Bonyan International Investment Group LLC, Invest AD, Abu Dhabi Sports Council, Abu Dhabi Equestrian Club and Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition 2010 (ADIHEX)."
