Imagenation Abu Dhabi Hires Rami Yasin As The Head Of Production

Vice President of Development, Daniela Tully To Take on Expanded Role

Imagenation Abu Dhabi, a wholly owned subsidiary of Abu Dhabi Media Company, has hired Rami Yasin as the new Head of Production and expanded Daniela Tully’s role to include all creative affairs for regional Emirati film production. Imagenation Abu Dhabi was launched in September 2008 to develop, finance and produce full-length feature films and digital content for Arabic and global markets. The Arabic content division was subsequently announced in January 2009 and since then has been focused on creating a clear vision and strategy to develop collaborative relationships with the region’s talent and filmmaking professionals from Europe and the United States. The first film in a slate of Arab projects will be announced in the coming weeks.

Yasin will work alongside Tully, who joined Imagenation Abu Dhabi in June 2009 as the Vice President of Development. Tully will now oversee all creative affairs for regional Emirati film production in addition to content that falls under Imagenation Abu Dhabi’s Participant Media and National Geographic partnerships.

“Rami’s outstanding expertise in regional production paired with Daniela’s commitment and contribution to Imagenation and Abu Dhabi this past year are tremendous assets to the company,” commented Imagenation Abu Dhabi COO Stefan Brunner. “Additionally, we look forward to announcing our first Arabic project very shortly!”

Yasin was previously the Head of Production and Partner at Filmworks in Dubai where he was in charge of pitching, managing the company’s production roster, maintaining high-end production standards, servicing major international work and managing three teams of producers, managers and coordinators.

Yasin’s credits include Warner Brother’s Syriana, Universal’s The Kingdom, and Ridley Scott’s Body of Lies. He also wrote, directed and acted in the pilot for the Arabic sitcom, Marhabtain. His producing experience extends to the UAE, KSA, Qatar, Bahrain, Lebanon, Egypt, Morocco, Sudan, Kenya, South Africa, Thailand, Malaysia, UK, France, Italy, Greece, and Hungary.

Tully has an established background in film and television development, content strategy and production. Prior to joining Imagenation Abu Dhabi, Tully worked as a senior network executive of original productions at ProSieben, one of Germany’s leading private networks, where she spearheaded the production of projects from initial idea to finished film – including feature length films, long running series, telenovelas and feature co-productions.
