Flatley promises his protégés will wow Abu Dhabi audiences and organisers encourage fans to snap up remaining tickets

With just days to go until Lord of the Dance kicks off excitement is mounting as the World Tour is set to grip Abu Dhabi.

The man behind the biggest grossing tour in the history of entertainment, Michael Flatley, says his flagship European troupe featuring his star protégé Damien O’Kane as the Lord, will provide an “unforgettable” run of performances in the Emirate.

“I have no doubt that Lord of the Dance’s first time showing in Abu Dhabi will be unbelievable,” Flatley said. “It’s always a pleasure to see the show welcomed to new cities around the world and Abu Dhabi is no exception. It still amazes me to this day how our show transcends culture and has such a universal appeal.”

“The troupe performing in Abu Dhabi are looking forward to returning to the region and are preparing to give the audience a night of traditional Irish entertainment that will be unforgettable,” he added.

The European Troupe land in the Emirate on Tuesday ahead of their six live performances, which take place at Abu Dhabi Hall, ADNEC this week from June 23 – 26.

Christina Anthony, Special Projects Director for Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Company (ADNEC), which is bringing the show to Abu Dhabi, said:

“The excitement is mounting ahead of Lord of the Dance’s first performance in Abu Dhabi. We’re delighted to be able to work with the show to bring it to our city and we have no doubt that existing fans and those new to the show will enjoy a magical night.”

Lord of the Dance is the most critically acclaimed dance tour of all time. This classic tale of Good versus Evil, expressed through the universal language of dance, has thrilled audiences worldwide and catapulted Irish dance to a new dimension.
