The Last Group Of Summer Abroad Program Students Headed To USA, Canada, New Zealand, Australia And Ireland

The last group of outstanding students, accompanied by their chaperons, flew out to USA, Canada, New Zealand, Australia and Ireland to improve their English language and IT skills and get acquainted with other cultures, as part of the generous grant of H.H. General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nayahan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces and Chairman of Abu Dhabi Education Council. This group makes the total number of students who have been sent abroad, as part of this grant, reach 600 male and female students accompanied by 60 chaperons.

H.E. Dr. Mugheer Khamis AL-Khaili, Director General of ADEC said that “The program will help our outstanding students improve their academic and personal experience and skills. It will also give them a chance to be self-dependent, allow them to enhance their English, Math, Science, IT and leadership skills, closely interact with other cultures and explore various educational opportunities”.

“ADEC is in contact with the chaperons on a regular basis since the first group was dispatched. Students have been well-received in the five countries by the hosting companies’ representatives who are making all necessary arrangements for student entrance and accommodation,” added Dr. Al Khalil.

Dr. Al Khalil thanked UAE embassies in the five hosting companies for their close coordination with students and chaperons to ensure their well-being. ADEC will send its concerned team to the five hosting countries to follow-up the progress and achievement of students.

Orientation sessions will be organized for students to brief them on the cities where they will live and the schools providing programs. Students will take placement tests for assessing their English skills and will accordingly be distributed to classes where male students will be integrated with other students from various nationalities.
Students expressed satisfaction with the hospitality they received and were provided upon arrival with SIM cards, by the hosting companies, to communicate with their families.
