New Parking Spaces At Tawam Hospital

Tawam Hospital, in affiliation with Johns Hopkins Medicine, announced the opening of additional parking spaces at the Hospital.

The work on the expansion project started in April 2010 and was executed by Al Ain Municipality, 294 parking spaces were added in the large lot by CO-OP with additional spaces to accommodate 60 vehicles behind the Administrative Building for staff. In addition, appropriate directional signs will be placed to direct the visitors to the new surface lot.

“We would like to express our thanks to Al Ain Municipality for providing us with the parking spaces, and its staff members who have assisted us.” said Mr. Gregory Schaffer, Chief Executive Officer, Tawam Hospital “The Al Ain Municipality has been instrumental in making sufficient enhancements to our parking lots in conjunction with frequent municipal bus routes to the campus,” he added.

The growth of Tawam Hospital over the past two years has resulted in limited campus parking, thus competition for appropriate parking spaces for patients, visitors, and staff. “The lack of parking has been a concern voiced by our visitors and we feel these additions address the public’s concerns,” said Steven Matarelli, Chief Operating Officer, Tawam Hospital. “These enhancements are essential to accommodate our patients, their families, and staff as we continue to grow,” he added.

Tawam Hospital is part of the SEHA HealthSystem and is owned and operated by Abu Dhabi Health Services Company PJSC (SEHA) which is responsible for the curative activities of all the public hospitals and clinics in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. The hospital is managed by Johns Hopkins Medicine International.
