UAE National Team Supports ICLDC’s Ramadan Tournament |

Football brings community together in capitalMembers of the UAE’s national team came out in support of this year’s Ramadan football tournament organised by Imperial College London Diabetes Centre, this week (Sunday August 22 2010). Ismail Matar Al Junaibi, known among his fans as Smah or The Golden Boy mingled with spectators and team players at the kick-off of the five-night, 16-team tournament, PLAY SPORTS. Live Healthily., now in its third year. Fellow members of the national team also joined in at the specially-constructed pitches at Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre. Eight league matches were played on day one with a total of 35 goals scored. |
