Barbican Turbo Returns to Abu Dhabi With Team Orange











ABU DHABI, UAE, October 6, 2010/PRNewswire/ -- Team Orange, stars of the "The Fast & The Furious: Tokyo Drift" return to amaze car fans in the Middle East this weekend with their displays of pure drifting action at Barbican Turbo 2010; held in the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre from 7-9 October 2010.

Hailing from Fukushima, Japan, Team Orange, are widely considered to be the world’s best drifting team; and are household names across Asia and the United States. A Middle East debut and exclusive, Team Orange is introducing their team mate Sumika Kubokawa, also known as the "Drift Queen" at this year’s event.

Team Orange will perform 15 breathtaking demonstrations during the three days of the show with their famous "twin-drift" and new for this year the "triple-drift" sessions, including the Drift Queen in two R33 and one R34 Nissan Skyline.

The show will also include the ’Best in Show’ competition (formerly the Top 100) crowning the region’s best customized cars across more than 50 different categories such as Best Engine, Best ICE, Best Wheels, Wildest Modification and the Overall Best in Show with cash prizes and trophies for winners. The annual UAE Sound Off competition run by Skematix will decide who has the best and loudest in-car entertainment system. And the ’U.A.E. Power Championship’ from Mainline and RSG, which will crown the most powerful engine in the show; a real crowd-pleaser, last year this was won by the Lamborghini Gallardo with twin-turbo raising over 1000 brake horsepower.

And finally Nitto, the Gold Sponsor and Official Tyre Supplier for Barbican Turbo 2010 are holding the 1st Nitto RC Car Competition with prizes up for grabs including PS3’s, X-Boxes and a trip to Thailand from the Nitto stand; as well as having some crazy customised cars to check out too.
