Yasalam Inspires Students To Drive Their Own Careers In Motorsports |

As part of Yasalam 2010, over 600 local university students meet with top F1™ professionals for workshops on careers in motorsports; including business, media and engineeringAs part of Yasalam 2010, the month of city-wide community celebrations in Abu Dhabi, local university students are participating in interactive Mastering Motorsports workshops from October 12th to 13th with some of F1’s top professionals, including Mr. Brett Volker, Head of Brand and Communications, Virgin Racing, and Mr. Karun Chankdok, F1™ Driver HRT F1™ Team, to inspire them to consider a future career in F1™ or motorsports. Organised by FLASH Entertainment and KHP Consulting, sports marketing and communications specialists, these workshops bring the leading lights of the world’s biggest annual sporting series to the fans, helping the youth of Abu Dhabi understand the incredible opportunities that come along with Abu Dhabi hosting a F1™ Grand Prix. John Lickrish, Flash Entertainment’s Managing Director, commented: Over 600 students from different universities and colleges across the UAE, including Zayed University, Khalifa University, New York University of Abu Dhabi, Higher Technology of Al Ain, Abu Dhabi Women’s College and Dubai Women’s College gathered at Yas Marina Circuit, Yas Island, to learn more about the role of Engineering, Health & Fitness, PR and Media and Business & Sponsorship in the motorsports industry.
