ADEC Showcases World-Class Educational Opportunities At Najah Exhibition











Abu Dhabi Education Council (ADEC) will participate in the 4th Najah Education Training Careers 2010 to be held next week under the patronage of H.E. Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research. Held from 19 - 21 October, 2010 at Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center (ADNEC), the annual Najah Exhibition aims to showcase Abu Dhabi’s world class educational opportunities. ADEC Pavilion, the biggest at the exhibition, will provide students with specific information about ADEC’s training programs and scholarships.

Mr. Salem Al Sayeri, Mr. Salem Al Sayari, Executive Director of Support Services at ADEC, said that supporting students to explore various educational and career options is a key element of ADEC’s 10 Year Strategic Plan. “We aim to ensure that our students are informed about the programs and scholarships offered in Abu Dhabi to help them pursue education and achieve their career and life goals,” Mr. Al Sayeri added.

As a key sponsor of the event, ADEC’s pavilion is hosting information booths for six of its key higher education partners i.e. ADVETI, Emirates College for Advanced Education, INSEAD, Paris-Sorbonne University -Abu Dhabi, New York University, Université Mohammed V (Mohamed V University), Dr. Al Khaili pointed out.

Mr. Mohamed Salem Al Dhaheri, ADEC’s Executive Director of School Operations, said that ADEC has developed a plan, in collaboration with Abu Dhabi public and private schools, for organizing a series of school visits from across the Emirate to Najah during morning hours. “This will help provide Abu Dhabi students with first-hand access to tailored information, seminars and career counselors about further education and career path development,” he added.

The 4th Education and Career Forum will be organized as part of Najah Education Training Careers 2010. Several lectures will be delivered by key speakers and academics at the three-day forum to discuss important issues pertaining to students, graduates and job seekers. The first lecture about “Abu Dhabi Higher Education” will be delivered by Mrs. Mona Majed Al Mansoori, ADEC’s Guidance & Scholarship Division Manager.

Najah Exhibition will be open to visitors on Tuesday October 19, 2010 from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm. Only female visitors, to include school students and staff, will be allowed to visit the Exhibition from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm on Wednesday, while it will be open to all visitors from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm. On Thursday, visiting hours will extend from 10:00 am to 9: pm.
