Delegate Registration For World Future Energy Summit 2011 Conference Opens

The delegate registration for the conference at the World Future Energy Summit (WFES) 2011 in Abu Dhabi is now open, Reed Exhibitions, announced today.

Hosted by Masdar, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Mubadala Development Company, the theme for WFES 2011 is ’enabling future energy solutions’. The Summit provides a unique opportunity for international policy makers, thought leaders and renewable energy experts to address the challenges of providing safe, secure and sustainable energy. The event will run from 17-20 January 2011 and comprises the four day conference, alongside two exhibitions - a World Future Energy Exhibition and World Future Environment Exhibition.

This year’s conference will feature enlightening forums and senior industry experts speaking on four key themes, one on each day: Policy, Business, Technology and Finance. Topics to be discussed at these forums include international policy, financing future energy, solar, green cities, sustainable buildings, wind, biofuels, e-mobility, energy storage, hydrogen, strategy, carbon capture and storage, smart grids ’&’ super grids and nuclear energy. This year’s event also features the introduction of interactive master classes led by senior representatives from respected international organisations working within the future energy field.

Frederic Theux, President, Reed Exhibitions, said: "Born of a commitment to promote and advance innovation, research and regulation of the future of renewable energy, World Future Energy Summit is the only event that enables policy creators and business decision makers to come together to find solutions to the world’s energy challenges".

"The global demand for energy, combined with depleting fossil fuel reserves, requires a global response to the challenges of enabling future energy solutions that are both secure and sustainable. It is important that world leaders and renewable energy experts have a forum to address the most pertinent issues affecting the future of energy globally, and to discuss the needs of the public and private sectors in overcoming these challenges, so we are pleased to announce the opening of registration for the 2011 conference. Last year’s conference saw 145 keynote speakers and 100 official delegations, while the full summit saw 24,790 attendees from 148 countries, providing unlimited networking opportunities. We look forward to welcoming yet more people to the future energy event of the year at WFES 2011, which already looks set to surpass the success of WFES 2010."
