Najah Exhibition Wraps Up With A Great Success











The Najah Training Education Careers 2010 is concluded today after attaining record numbers of visitors to include students, graduates and parents over the past three days. Abu Dhabi Education Council (ADEC) pavilion, the biggest at the exhibition, was visited by over 8000 school students and graduates.

Mr. Salem Al Sayari, ADEC’s Executive Director of Support Services, said that ADEC showcased Abu Dhabi’s world-class educational opportunities and provided students with specific information about ADEC’s scholarships and training programs.

“This year’s version of Najah Training Education Careers has been more developed and attracted more students and visitors who were seeking to know about the scholarships, training programs and careers available in Abu Dhabi,” Al Sayari added.

Mr. Mohammed Salem Al Dhaheri, ADEC’s Executive Director of School Operations, said that a series of school visits from across the Emirate to Najah was organized to a large number of students to provide them with information and career counseling services on further education and career path development.

Mrs. Mona Majed Al Mansoori, ADEC’s Division Manager of Guidance and Scholarships, said that ADEC pavilion attracted many students seeking to explore the scholarship programs in UAE and abroad. “Many presentations were delivered on the programs and scholarships offered by ADEC or its affiliated higher education institutions,” she added.

Around 3000 booklets and brochures on scholarships & programs were distributed to Najah visitors to brief them on the academic and career opportunities available, eligibility conditions, student benefits, ADEC’s applicable rules and other details that help students take the appropriate decision. Brochures about the educational institutions participating in the exhibition, including ADVETI, Emirates College for Advanced Education, INSEAD, Paris-Sorbonne University -Abu Dhabi, New York University, Mohammed V University, were also distributed.

Mr. Salem Al Mahrei, ADEC’s HR Division Manager, said that “ADEC Pavilion exhibited 75 vacancies in ADEC departments and received numerous electronic job applications in line with ADEC strategy for preserving the environment by promoting a paperless business operations. As for Job opportunities for the teaching and administrative staff positions in schools, ADEC announced that applications can be submitted in January 2011.

Students and visitors were thankful for allowing them the chance to be informed about scholarships and programs offered by ADEC and its affiliated higher educational institutions. Shamma Al Ketbi, a G12 student, said that ADEC’s Pavilion gave students and parents the chance to be updated about scholarships and programs and help them select the most appropriate among such programs. She suggested that time for female visitors should be extended rather than dedicating one day only along the exhibition to allow more visitors to come and visit Najah.

Soad Al Dhami, another student, said that her visit to the exhibition in general, and to ADEC pavilion in particular, enlightened her about her higher education path after she was briefed on the educational opportunities available and job market requirements.

Asmaa Mohammed, a school student, said that the exhibition is well-organized, attractive and useful to all students. It encourages students to know about the diverse programs and courses offered by universities.
