Internationally acclaimed jewellery brands are set to gather in Abu Dhabi in two weeks at the Jewellery and Watch Show Abu-Dhabi (JWS) 2010 . This year’s JWS will see MIKIMOTO, the world- renowned Japanese pearl jewellery house unveiling its most unique collection to patrons and visitors from across the region. JWS 2010, being held at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC), kicks off on November 10 and runs until November 14, 2010. The show is being held under the patronage of Her Highness Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak, Mother of Nation, and is organized by Reed Exhibitions in cooperation with Pearl Revival committee.

MIKIMOTO, one of the world’s most renowned pearl jewellery houses founded by Kokichi Mikimoto in 1893, will be showcasing two of their most exquisite and innovative art designs, the "Rose Garden" and the "Flowing Tide."

The "Rose Garden" design consists of organic roses and leaves that curl around the neck to form a marvellous necklace of South Sea cultured pearls and diamonds. The "Flowing Tide" design consists of a sea tide of pearls and diamonds glistening in the sunlight. Brilliant diamonds and the graduation of 240 Akoya cultured pearls express the natural phenomenon of the tide gradually coming in.

"We believe JWS is the best platform for us to unveil our latest line of designs to the Middle East audiences," said Jeremy Burbanks, the European and Middle East Sales Manager of MIKIMOTO. "The collection we are showcasing this year is not just rare in terms of its pearl quality but also extremely exquisite in terms of its design. We are confident that connoisseurs of fine jewellery will find both the event and MIKIMOTO very attractive this year."

Also part of the exhibitor contingent this year is acclaimed British jewellery franchise David Morris. Jeremy Morris, the Creative Director of David Morris said, "David Morris designs embody an imaginative flair which draws on classic techniques but translate into uniquely imaginative jewellery of the highest quality. A significant number of our clients are now from the Middle East and we are seeing growing interest in our designs and collections from patrons based in the UAE.

"David Morris has been the benchmark of excellence in fine jewellery since it first opening 45 years ago. For JWS 2010, we have compiled a unique collection of designs that represent a lightness of touch that is both modern and timeless. The region’s jewellery preferences are very much in line with David Morris’s authentic style and aesthetics. We look forward to another high turn and successful event at JWS 2010," said Morris.

"In line with the sustained high turnout and success of the JWS show, we have received an extremely encouraging response from all lour exhibitors," said Raya Dandal, Deputy Show Manager at REED Exhibitions. "On display at this year’s show will be latest creations of the world’s best designers that we are confident will appeal to the aesthetic sensibilities of people from all walks of life. The new timing of the show is also aimed at leveraging the celebratory atmosphere in Abu Dhabi as the city hosts the 2010 Formula One Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. We are confident of attracting an even stronger flow of international visitors at JWS 2010," added Raya.
