ADNEC To Host 14 Events In November

Marks busiest month in ADNEC’s 2010 events calendar

Thousands of local and international visitors are expected to attend the 14 trade and consumer events being held next month at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre.

"November marks the busiest month in ADNEC’s 2010 events calendar; on the one side are the expansive, long-running shows like ADIPEC (Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition & Conference) - first held 26 years ago, while on the other, we have several major debuts to look forward to including World Green Tourism , SIAL and IPA Middle East ," said Christina Anthony , Sales Director of ADNEC (Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Company).

Warmly welcoming event participants to ADNEC, Anthony said: "We are committed to working in close partnership with event organisers across the board to ensure a strong platform and impetus is provided for all manner of events at ADNEC".

The action kicks off on 1 November with the 14 th edition of ADIPEC, one of the world’s largest oil & gas events. Over the course of the four-day show, more than 40,000 visitors are expected to congregate at the 12 halls and the outdoor exhibit area at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre.

ADIPEC 2010 will be followed by two other trade-only events, Dentistry & Sight and International Banking and Financial Services Technology Exhibition from 9 th – 11 th November. Eid Al Adha show, a popular shopping fair open to the general public will take place from the 9 th – 16 th .

JWS Abu Dhabi, the 18 th edition of the Abu Dhabi International Jewellery and Watch Show, will be held 10 th – 14 th . Cutting-edge tools and the latest thinking in the educational domain will be emphasised during Building Future Education MENA 2010 and BEIT Middle East, 21 st – 22 nd .

From the 22 nd – 24 th , ADNEC will set the stage for three debut events: SIAL & IPA Middle East , which are the regional editions of world-leading shows focused on the food and food processing industries, and World Green Tourism, which is making its international debut. World Green Tourism is the first event to emerge as a direct result of the ‘Advantage Abu Dhabi’ initiative, aimed at encouraging events aligned with the UAE capital’s Vision 2030.

Other events during November include the fourth edition of the International Date Palm Festival , which has moved to Abu Dhabi from Al Ain, Beauty Vision , Middle East Manufacturing Exhibition 2010 , Roadex / Railex , co-located with the International Road Federation’s 2 nd Middle East Congress, and SIM (Signage, Imaging & Media Show). A number of corporate and private events are also scheduled at ADNEC in November.

"Combined with the many thousands visiting Abu Dhabi for the Etihad Airways F1 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, we are convinced ADNEC’s bustling events calendar in November will ensure the UAE capital remains at the centre of global attention throughout the coming weeks," Anthony said.
