The Ferrari Owners Club UAE gathered this time at the Sadaf Ballroom in Amwaj Rotana Jumeirah Beach Dubai over a lavish lunch on Friday 12th of November 2010. The club was founded in March 2008 by over 40 people passionate by the brand and the cars. The club enjoys the official recognition of Ferrari SPA in Italy and is part of the worldwide network of similar clubs.
Over 70 Ferrari cars parked at the JBR parking where by all Ferrari members gathered at the Amwaj Rotana with the presence of Enrico Galiera, Vice-President of Ferrari Italy, Houssam Husni, General Manager/Luxury Autos – Al Tayer Group and Fred Kamperman, President of Ferrari Owners Club UAE.
During the event, Hussam Husni and Fred Kamperman greeted the members and shared the Ferrari parade agenda followed by a welcome note from Galiera.
“We have now grown the club to close to 90 active members and I hope to announce soon that we have reached the 100-members status. But for those who know the club, our members and me, this club is not about getting as many members as possible. Instead of sheer size, we prefer active members, who made the deliberate choice to join the club to share the Ferrari passion of the other members”, said Fred Kapmperman
In addition, the event was also attended by Imad Elias, Board Member of Rotana Hotel Management Corporation and Timur Ilgaz, General Manager of Amwaj Rotana Jumeirah Beach Dubai.
“We are honored and pleased to welcome the Ferrari Owners Club in the newly opened Amwaj Rotana Jumeirah Beach Dubai and we look forward to welcome them again and host their future events,” added Ilgaz.
