H.E. Dr. Mugheer Khamis Al Khaili, Director General of Abu Dhabi Education Council (ADEC), visited Al Shomoukh and Bedaa Al Mutaw’a Schools at Al Gharbia. The construction of these two schools together with a third one at Al Selaa are being finalized as part of a project for constructing 5 new schools which ADEC has already started last year. Two schools of which have already been handed over to ADEC while Al Shomoukh and Bedaa Al Mutaw’a Schools will be ready this year.
During the visit, Dr. Al Khaili was accompanied by Mr. Mohammed Salem Al Dhaheri, ADEC’s Executive Director of School Operations, Mr. Salem Al Sayari, Executive Director of Support Services, Dr. Rafic Makki, Executive Director of Strategic Affairs Office and Eng. Hamad Al Dhaheri, Infrastructure & Facilities Division Manager Dr. Al Khaili said that “the new schools are designed and constructed in accordance with the highest international standards.
Upgrading the educational facilities and infrastructure reflects the endless support of education provided by our prudent leadership and comes in line with the goals of ADEC’s 10-year strategic plan for developing education in Abu Dhabi.
“The school facilities will be equipped with the latest educational technologies. Intended to be centers for social, cultural, educational and sports activities of all students, families and the community, the schools will accommodate indoor and outdoor sports facilities, labs, theatres, restaurants and green areas that create an attractive environment for community throughout the year,” said Eng. Hamad Al Dhaheri, ADEC’s Division Manager of Infrastructure & Facilities.
