ADEC And ATIC Hold A Get-Together For Al Nokhba Scholars And Parents











Abu Dhabi Education Council (ADEC) and Advanced Technology Investment Company (ATIC) held a gathering for bringing together Al Nokhba Scholarship students and their parents during their vacation in UAE.

Mr. Ali Al Mansoori, ADEC Scholarships Section Manager, said that the gathering aims to strengthen the relationship between the first group of scholars participating in the Elite Scholarship for Advanced Technology, known as Al Nokhba, in USA and their parents and also to ensure effective and continuous communication with ADEC is maintained. “ADEC is keen to continuously receive feedback from students on the scholarship program.

This informal get-together provides ADEC with the opportunity to communicate directly with students and their families and listen to their opinions and suggestions with regard to the scholarships”.

Started with a welcoming speech, the interesting gathering included various activities and student competitions. Enquiries and suggestions were presented by scholars who spoke about their experiences related to the scholarship program.

Anfal Abdullah, one of Al Nokhba female scholars, said that the program enabled me to continue my education in one of the world’s best universities. This whole experience has widened my personal and academic knowledge and will help me achieve my goals & aspirations. I am looking forward to finishing my studies and come back home to be one of the top-class professionals in advanced technology areas and contribute to the realization of Abu Dhabi government strategies & goals. I am also happy that I got the first place in English spelling competition.
Finally, I would like to thank all officials of the Al Nokhba Scholarship Program for their great support as well as for organizing this gathering aiming at fostering relationships and receiving feedback.”

Ahmed Al Haddad, another scholar, said that he wishes to study a discipline that combines mechanical engineering and nuclear energy. “At the beginning of the program, we might have faced some challenges; however, we were able to overcome them over a short period of time.”

“Al Nokhba program provides students with a unique opportunity for studying abroad, getting trained in Global Foundries facilities and getting employment opportunity after graduation” he added.

“I am happy for my son’s participation in this pioneering program that will provide him with a job opportunity after graduation and a chance to continue his post-graduate studies”, said one of the parents. She lauded ADEC and ATIC for their keenness to continuously communicate with scholars & their parents and respond to their enquiries and suggestions.

“I am grateful that I was able to accompany my daughter to USA as part of the program which emphasizes the keenness of the program sponsors & officials to provide scholars & parents with all kinds of support”, said one of the parents.
